Casinos have different rules about how to play. Some casinos require you to choose which game you will play and bet accordingly. Others require you to play both while still others allow you to choose whether you want to play one or both. The first game is called Three Card Ante where you bet against the dealer. The second game is Pair Plus where you get bonuses if you have a pair. If you are playing both games, it is acceptable to wager different amounts for each game. In the Pair Plus game there is no strategy involved since all you are doing is betting on whether you have pairs. The odds of this are fairly good and you can win some money by balancing your bets between the two games. If you are on a winning streak, you may want to be aggressive in the Pairs Plus game and less aggressive in the Three Card Ante. In the Three Card Ante, everyone antes a certain amount based on the table limits posted. Then each player and the dealer are dealt three cards face down. Everyone either folds or bets based on the strength of their hand. The dealer then reveals his card. In order for the dealer to qualify for play, he must have a queen high or better. If the dealer does not qualify, all players get even money called a push. If the dealer does qualify, the other players compete against the dealer’s hand. Anyone who can not beat the dealer hand loses their bet. Anyone who beats the dealer gets even money on the ante plus any bonuses. Odds for playing against the dealer are pretty good and are even better than most other card games. This game is a fast moving form of poker with fairly good odds for the player. It’s a good beginner game to play and is also fun. Having positive odds in the player’s favor is an added bonus. |
