Holdem Strategies | Playing The Loose Aggressive Style
Learning how to play and win at Texas Holdem with the loose aggressive
style. Typically, most beginning players play too conservatively. When you
play conservative in Texas Holdem, you chances of winning or finishing in
the money are pretty slim.
Most experienced players will beat the conservative player because he plays
in a very predictable way. It’s easy for other players to put you on a
hand--- they will fold unless they have a strong hand also--- then you will
be in a race to see who hits their card.
The loose aggressive player always plays from late position. Rarely do they
play out of position or call many early raises unless of course they have a
solid hand.
Some tips on playing loose aggressive:
· Play 20-25% of you hands
· Play from position of strength – late position
· Open in late position with a wider selection of hands
· Open with a raise instead of a call
· Don’t call raises out of position with hands like Q-8, A-8 and K-9
Do not call raises in the blind position because your opponent will most of
the time have better cards plus be in a better position. Don’t play from a
disadvantage.
This Holdem strategy works well for both tournament and cash games. I always
suggest that you play both which will help your game and give you a far
better chance winning and increasing your bankroll playing poker on line.
By playing his way, you will be taking well calculated risks and have a
greater chance to being successful playing the loose aggressive style of
texas Holdem Poker.
